Hip Pain

There are many types of hip pain, yet most respond very well to Pilates.

Common Hip Injuries among dancers include

  • Hip Flexor Tendonopothy

  • Labral Tear

  • Hip Impingements

  • Snapping Hip Syndrome​

  • Hip Bursitis

  • Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction

 

The range of motion of the hip joint required for dance can leave the hip vulnerable to increased instability and possible injury. However, with proper dynamic control of all the muscles that surround the joint you can safely dance without further damage.
